The 4501 pump station monitors lift station pumps as the wet well is filled and emptied. It then uses patented algorithms and the known volume between the levels in the wet well to calculate the flow into and out of the pump station and the rate of each pump. The 4501 measures pump capacity and influent flow at most pump stations to an accuracy of 1% by using drawdown calculations rather than the manufacturers pump curves

Statistics show that intermittent electrical problems develop before the situation can be detected by an operator at over 30% of pump stations. The 4501 pump station flow monitor can uncover these problems as they occur and while repair is still simple and inexpensive. This can prevent sewer backups and other problems.

The 4501 pump station monitoring system can detect abnormal activity such as:

  • Chattering relays
  • Alternator failures
  • Jammed/worn impellers
  • Variations in pump rate
  • Stuck check valves
  • Changes in level switches
  • Power Failures

Recorded data is stored in the 4501's memory for analysis on a PC running Isco Pumplink Software.
