Level Troll 700

Level Troll 700

The Level TROLL 700 is a water level monitoring instrument that includes single or multi-step aquifer testing , precision river gauging, tidal influence studies, wave characterization, geothermal research and storm-event monitoring. The Level TROLL 700 is highly durable due to it's rugged titanium casing with TIG welding to prevent flooding of the instrument. It is easily installed using the Twist-lock connectors, has an ultra-low power system and is only 18.3mm in diameter making it perfect for 1 inch wells and observation tubing.

The 700 series of the Level TROLL offers new logging modes such as Linear, Linear Average, Event, True Logarithmic, Step Linear and Fast Linear for complete customisation. The Level TROLL 700 also has additional benefits such as "Pause" and "Restart" logging features, has a larger memory, 0.25 sec sampling, the ability to store and manage up to 50 log files, user notes and has advanced compensation settings.

The unit has built in RS-485/232 Modbus, SDI-12, and 4-20mA communication capabilities. It can be operated using a PC or a RuggedReader handheld and it can easily be connected to a SCADA or other online system.

True Logarithmic sampling is commonly used for aquifer testing to collect a large volume of early-time drawdown data while minimizing the amount of data collected later on. A “Re-Start” feature makes multi-step pumping tests easy. When changing the rate of the pump to the next step, simply press the “Re-Start” button and the logarithmic sampling rate will re-start at the beginning collecting a log cycle within the same file! A single log file can be restarted as many times as needed. Other modes such at “Step Log” and “Fast Linear” provide additional monitoring flexibility

Applications

The Level TROLL 700 applications include:

  • Multi-step aquiifer testing
  • Slug tests
  • Pumping tests
  • Estuaries and coastal monitoring
  • Tidal influence & wave characterization
  • Landslide & flood prevention
  • Stormwater monitoring
  • Flow measurements
  • Research, studies
  • Marine buoys
  • Water pumping management
  • River, lake, stream gauging

Benefits and features

  • The rugged titanium casing makes the unit perfect for marine and fresh water monitering. Can even be used in acidic sites without risk of corrosion.
  • Sensors can accurately record minute changes in levels and temperature.
  • TIG-welded seals to prevent flooding of the unit.
  • The super low power system is guarenteed to last for 5 years or 2 million readings.
  • Can be powered externally or through line power
  • Built in RS-485 MODBUS, SDI-12, and 4-20mA – provides for easy connections to existing and online systems.
  • Reliable Twist-Lock connectors.
  • Halogen-free cables (LSZH rated) which can be extended by simply adding additional segments.
  • -20 to 80ºC temperature range -ideal for geothermal monitering.
  • With win-Situ software-data is easily retrieved and viewed.
  • Linear logging ideal for long term monitering.
  • Pause logging feature which allows logging to be paused whilst removing a unit, and easily started again when the unit has been reinstalled.
  • Files can be "undeleted" from the unit to retrive files that have been acidentally deleted.
  • Easily read memory and battery gauges.
  • Submersible ranges up to 351m / cable length up to 1200m
  • Version, range, and manufacturing info printed on side of the unit.
  • FCC and CE emission tested – prevents susceptibility to outside emission interference and transient electrical surges
  • Version, range, and manufacturing information printed on side of the unit.

Benefits and features of the Level TROLL 700 only

  • Restart logarithmic sampling within the same file – Perform multi-step aquifer tests with ease!
  • Newlogging modes including Linear, Linear Average, Event, True Logarithmic, Step Log and Fast Linear.
  • Can program up to 50 logging files in the Level TROLL
  • Can take samples as fast as 0.25 seconds(4 samples/sec)
  • Up to 350,000 data points of memory (4MB) – reduces the interval between data collection
