Troll 9500 Multi-Parameter Sonde
The Troll 9500 multiparameter sondes are suitable for use on surface water, ground water interaction, estuary monitoring, saltwater intrusion, watershed and source water protection, stream restoration, beach monitoring, NPDES discharge, NPS monitoring, wastewater influent, effluent, storm water runoff, reservoir and lake monitoring, dredging operations, low-flow sampling, vertical profiling, process water and aquaculture.
Key benefits:
- Easy to change batteries (2 x D –cells)
- IP67 waterproof battery compartment
- Twist-Lock connectors with fully detachable custom cable lengths
- Up to nine field-replaceable sensors all less than 4.7 cm diameter.
- Quick-Cal solutions to validate or calibrate, in less than five minutes!
As well as these impressive key benefits, the Troll 9500 water quality sonde proves its flexibility with USB or RS232 connections, with capability to accept SDI-12. The Troll can also be used in conjunction with a RuggedReader – an IP67-rated handheld PC, which enables the user to synchronize data.
The Troll 9500 multiparameter sonde comes in various models:
- LTS (Level, Temperature and one other sensor – such as conductivity, pH, dissolve oxygen)
- Profiler (Ideal for quality sampling or profiling. Designed for measurement of pH, ORP, DO, conductivity/salinity, temperature and depth. Memory is not included, but data can be logged to a RuggedReader or to a PC)
- Profiler XP (This sonde offers the same as the Profiler, but has the added benefit of Extended Parameter sensors such as turbidity, ammonia, nitrate and chloride)
- Professional (For most applications – allows for all parameters similar to the Profiler, but also includes internal data logging, ideal for recording trends over time)
- Professional XP (This is the most capable Troll 9500 sonde. It is the same as the Professional model, but also includes the option to use extended parameter sensors such as turbidity, ammonium, nitrate and chloride.
Win-Situ Software:
Win-Situ is easy-to-use software with friendly guides to help the user through set up and calibration. The data can be viewed either in graph format or can be exported into Microsoft Excel. The Profiler allows the user to view real-time data and of course this can be logged to the RuggedReader or to a PC.
The Sensors
OPTICAL DISSOLVED OXYGEN (RDO)
- No photobleaching
- No hydration effects
- No membranes
- No stirring
- Excellent in anoxic conditions
- 3-year warranty
- Proven to be the most accurate and rugged DO technology.
TEMPERATURE
- Accurate
- Fast response time
DISSOLVED OXYGEN CLARK ELECTRODE
- Time-tested reliable way to measure DO
- Easy-to-use replaceable membrane caps
- Membrane to keep the sensor clean – critical to accurate measurements
LEVEL / PRESSURE
- Accurate to the millimeter
- Extreme accuracy and compensation over the entire temperature and pressure range
- Ranges include 11, 21, 70 and 211 metres.
- Calibration report included with each unit.
pH / ORP
- A large internal reference provides for longer field use
- Tested and rated for depths up to 246m
BAROMETRIC PRESSURE
- Barometric pressure is required to calculate percent saturation values for DO.
- Also useful to understand effects of barometric pressure on the water system
TURBIDITY
- Turbidity can be measured alone or with a depth sensor
- Turbidity follows the ISO7027 standard and offers a wide operating range from 0-2000 NTU
ISE NUTRIENT SENSORS: NITRATE / AMMONIUM / CHLORIDE
- These ISE sensors can be used as a profiling tools
- Can be used to indicate gross changes in nutrient levels
- Temperature compensated calibration option
Accessories Available:
- Quick-Cal Solutions save time and money by allowing the user to calibrate pH, ORP, conductivity and Clark DO all together, typically taking no longer than five minutes.
- Cable Reels and Well Accessories make deployment simple, with reels of all lengths available. Well docking solutions are also available to ensure secure installations.
- Assurance Plus Programs These extended warranties protect your investment
- Low-Flow Sampling Systems can help improve the quality of your samples, including a ‘Flow-Sense’ software which leads the user through entry of well or flow information as well as stabilization criteria.
