Field Engineer (Experienced)

We are actively looking for an experienced Field Engineer to support and work with our team, carrying out on - site engineering installations and servicing. Working as a Field Engineer you will be required to carry out installations, setups, commissioning, and servicing of a wide range of equipment as part of our offerings on client sites located throughout the UK. As such it is usual to frequently work overtime with regular nights away from home.


To deliver success working as a Field Engineer you must have high-level engineering skills, be able to install sensitive equipment as per specification and be able to solve problems on the ground. You must have site experience and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

  • Plan and conduct installations and servicing on site
  • Ensuring we are punctual and driven to carry out high quality work.
  • Pro-actively learn and understand the products and projects that we provide to ensure high quality outcomes.
  • Carry out safe use of hand and power tools used for cutting, grinding, drilling, fixing and digging.
  • Working on site in such industries as Quarries, Mines, Sewage Treatment Works, Water works, Gas works and other industrial areas.
  • Installations of framework, Unistrut, poles and equipment
  • Working in confined spaces
  • Indoor and Outdoor working
  • Driving to and from sites ensuring safe and diligent driving manner.
  • Nights away from home for works that run over a number of days or where longer distance trips are required.

Field Engineer - Skills and Qualifications Required

(All training can be provided where training has lapsed or requires renewals)

  • Confined Space Trained to a minimum of medium risk level (including Top Man)
  • CSCS Green Card (minimum)
  • SPA Quarry passport (training provided)
  • Blue Water Card (training provided)
  • Clean valid driving licence.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of engineering installations
  • Proficient use of hand tools and equipment
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Attention to detail - Careful, methodical approach.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer programmes such as MS office
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

  • Within reasonable commuting distance of the office at B60 4DJ.

Field Engineer Desired Experience

Experience in working in a technical environment around water monitoring and water flow equipment in Sewage treatment Works, Quarries, Mines and industrial processes.


Confined Space trained to medium risk level along with CSCS & SPA. Training can be provided for the right candidate but experience of site working and installations of equipment is essential


Due to the nature of the role some days can be long hours or overnights away from home. Working indoors and outdoors in all weathers at all times of the year, previous experience of Field Engineering is essential.
