Update on Flowview Development
Flowview is our online data interface, enabling our clients to interact with the data transmitted from equipment supplied by RS Hydro. Data can be downloaded from Flowview in csv format , viewed in line graphs and bar charts, or displayed in tables. It’s designed to be quick and easy to use, enabling the client to locate and view specific pieces of data using intuitive controls.

The functionality of Flowview has now been extended to display data transmitted from the In-Situ Troll 9500 multi-parameter water quality monitor. This piece of equipment posed significant challenges for our designers and programmers as it measures many different parameters (e.g. conductivity, pH, turbidity, temperature). We carried out an analysis of how our clients would like to view this data, and it became clear that viewing the many different parameters simultaneously would be ideal.
The graphs section of Flowview for Troll 9500 sites now shows six parameters on one page. This is achieved by displaying three graphs aligned vertically, each showing two parameters (2 y-axes on each graph – see fig.3). The client has complete control over which of the many parameters measured by the Troll 9500 will be displayed in the graphs via the ‘site preferences’ feature.

By offering the latest hardware, exemplary customer service, and our own custom built data interface we are able to offer our clients a total solution that is unique in our field.
