The last few months has seen a wide variety of exciting new products released by INW. The industry leading PT2X and CT2X family of level and conductivity sensors has been extended with the Temphion for nitrate, chloride and pH monitoring.
TempHion Multi-Parameter Water Quality Sensor
The Aquistar TempHion Smart Sensor from INW is a submersible water quality sensor with built in data logger. The sensor is capable of measuring pH, specific ions (bromide, nitrate and chlorine), redox and temperature. Each TempHion Smart Sensor comes with one thermistor based temperature element plus up to four ISE, pH or redox elements.
Two AA batteries are used to power the TempHion internally, or an external auxiliary power supply can be used for data intensive applications.
The TempHion can be programmed using a desktop or laptop with Aqua4Plus software via its RS232/RS485 adapter.
The internal processor allows easy calibration, using the Aqua4Plus calibration utilities. Once calibrated, the data is stored in the non-volatile memory within the Smart Sensor. This calibration information is applied to recorded data, resulting in highly accurate readings at a wide range of temperatures.
