As a Calibration and Repairs Assistant your day will be diverse and demanding. You will be immersed in tasks ranging from administrative support such as composing emails, handling phone calls and creating meticulous reports, to maintaining product data with precision. Your role extends to technical support; setting up and cleaning equipment, adjusting parameters, preparing items, and performing basic calibrations. You will ensure a seamless operation by maintaining systems related to job workflows and promptly addressing client queries.

Tasks required:

  • Work in and maintain systems regarding job workflow, ensuring key data is added to the system.
  • Monitoring emails and ensuring clients' queries are handled or delegated accordingly in a timely manner.
  • Answering calls for technical support, providing technical assistance with equipment operation.
  • Maintain spare parts lists.
  • Providing technical assistance with equipment operation.
  • Cleaning of technical equipment.
  • Setting equipment parameters and calibrations.
  • Preparation of equipment for new or repaired goods.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Handling of various types of fluids and calibration materials.

Hours of Work: Full-time, with flexibility depending on project requirements and workloads.

Technical Assistant Requirements:

  • Proficiency with basic computer programs including MS Office and database systems.
  • Good data processing skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, and peripherals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data.
  • Driving licence not mandatory but would be beneficial.
  • Experience in working in a technical environment and using hand tools such as screwdrivers would be ideal.
  • If you like fixing things, have attention to detail, and are not concerned about handling and cleaning goods that have been installed in messy environments, then this role would suit you.
  • Due to the technical nature and technical data involved, you will need to be comfortable with maintaining computer systems and working in an office environment.

Technical Assistant Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £23,000 to £25,000.
