About The Role

We are offering an amazing opportunity to join our technology sales team working with a product created as a spin-off from our project with the award winning University of Birmingham knowledge transfer partnership


We manufacturer a patented water quality sensor with diverse applications for the water, environmental, industrial & process industries, & integrated monitoring sectors and are in a period of rapid growth and expansion. Internet of things

To support our growth we have created a new role. To maximise business opportunities and growth we require a technical sales engineer to support the sales director and global sales channels and win new business. This will mean providing pre and post sales support and owning technical sales enquiries. Delivering practical and commercial proposals, responding to pre-qualification questionnaires and preparing proposals, tenders, presentations and webinars to existing and prospective customers with the support of a strong back office team.


If you have scientific and/or engineering background, experience of sales in the water quality, industrial instrumentation, academic research, wastewater, effluent monitoring, environmental monitoring markets and confident in discussing technical products with customers please apply now with a covering letter.


Skills and Experience

  • To be commercially ‘savvy’
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • A track record winning new business
  • A technical background - electrical, water, sensor, physics or earth sciences background
  • A can-do attitude
  • Excellent PC and MS Office skills
  • To be self-motivated, resilient, and able to work to deadlines.
  • A strong work ethic, be results orientated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • To be enthusiastic, with high standards and an excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to organise your own work and manage own time effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence.
