ISCO 2150 EX ATEX Area Velocity Flow Meter

The AV 2150EX smart Area Velocity probe is built on digital electronics, so the analog level is digitized in the sensor itself. The probe is factory calibrated for a 3 meter span at different temperatures. This calibration eliminates drift in the level signal and provides long term level stability. This reduces recalibration frequency and completely eliminates span recalibration.

The 2150EX is powered by two lithium or rechargeable lead acid battery packs, or by the 2194EX network interface module. The battery has a life of up to 8 months at 2 minute data storage intervals due to highly efficient power management.

The unit is easy to upgrade. New operating software can be downloaded into non-volatile "flash" memory via PC connection, without affecting stored program and data, and without removing the 2150EX from the hazardous area.
Chemically resistant. The epoxy-encapsulated sensor withstands tough applications.
Quick connect area velocity sensor can be easily removed and interchanged in the field with no recalibration.
Replaceable hydrophobic filter protects against intrusion of water during submersion.

Applications

Suitable for portable and permanent-site AV flow monitoring for inflow and infiltration, sewer overflow, and other sewer studies.
Measuring shallow flows in small pipes. The low profile Area Velocity sensor minimizes flow stream obstruction and senses velocity in flows down to 25 mm in depth.
Open channel flow measurement in Hazardous Locations (ATEX Category 1G)
Suitable for level measurement in explosive or potentially explosive areas, such as digesters, manholes and storage tanks.
