The Panametrics PT878 clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter is a portable flow meter which can be used to measure most liquids which includes clean liquids and also some liquids with gas bubbles or solids. It can be used on pipes from 0.5 inch to 300 inch (12.7mm to 7.6m) on all metals and most plastics without the need to cut into the pipe.

The PT878 can be set to log up to 100,000 data points which can be downloaded to PC via it’s infrared port . The data can then be exported to csv file and viewed in excel format.

The PT878 flowmeter is a compact transit time (time of flight) portable flow meter suitable for a wide range of non invasive flow measurement applications. It has a wide range of optional transducers and clamping fixtures to suit all types of rugged industrial environments.

The PT878 is an easy to use flow meter which can be easily installed and up and running within minutes. The user simply has to enter the site parameters, clamp the transducers onto the pipe and adjust the spacing.
