If you require a reliable conductivity meter that provides fast and more convenient control then the Eutech Alpha COND 190 meter is the perfect option. This meter has the capability of measuring up to eight ranges at ±1% full range accuracy, selectable temperature coefficient for higher conductivity accuracy and has full scale 4 to 20 mA galvanically insolated current output for process control.

Measuring from pure water to electroplating rinse tank water is no problem for this meter, two SPDT relays enable high/low set points limits control and each relay conviently comes with independent hysteresis to prevent relay chattering.

The Alpha COND 190 meter has an easy push button calibration while the controller freezes data transmission and relay activities during calibration and maintenance. One of the most handy features of this meter is it has 85 to 250 VAC. 50/60 Hz or DC variable input enables the controller to be used with a wide range of supply voltages.

Total dissolved solids (TDS) is a measure of the combined inorganic and organic substances dissolved in water. It is directly related to the electrical conductivity of water and as such can be used as an indication of change.
TDS is only relevant in freshwater systems as salinity will dramatically increase the conductivity and therefore apparent TDS.
