Location: Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Salary range: £22 - 26k depending on experience and suitability
Position type: Full time, permanent

Description of the role:

Proteus currently have a vacancy in our laboratory for a technical support engineer. This individual will work with the existing team to offer second tier after sales support to their customers. We are looking for a person who has a fundamental understanding of maths, enjoys problem solving/puzzles, is not averse to trying new things and who has a strong drive to learn.

 

 

 

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Mathematics - Problem solve and present calculations.
  • Data Analysis - Must be able to review data and identify anomalies.
  • Computer literacy - Excel, word processing, preferably some experience with a program like LaTeX or R.
  • Critical thinking - Ability to apply pre-existing knowledge to determine the cause of a fault
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and multitask

 

Nice but not essential:

  • Understanding of electronics
  • Understanding of water quality/chemistry
