Overview

The ISCO 720's flow probe is mounted at the bottom of a channel, and measures the level of a flow stream using a differential pressure transducer. Built-in conversions in the 6712 sampler then convert the level measurement into flow rate. The probe is suitable for small channels and has a venting system which compensates for changes in atmospheric pressure automatically to maintain accuracy. The 720 can provide accurate measurement at sites where steam, wind, foam, air temperature fluctuations or turbulence exist, and it accurately senses pressure, even when covered in sand or silt.

If your application uses a flume, most have a recess in which the 720's probe can be attached. The probe can easily be installed in round pipes, open channels and manhole inverts using Isco mounting rings. To avoid costly and potentially hazardous manhole entries the Isco Street Level Installation tool can also be used.

Standard Features of the 720 Module

  • Built-in flow conversions for most applications including Manning formula, flumes and weirs, data points, or equations for special situations
  • Accuracy of submerged probe not affected by steam, wind, foam, turbulence or changes in air temperature.
  • All flow data stored in the sampler is available for retrieval and can be used in reporting, graphing and analysis using Flowlink software.
  • LCD display can be used to view current flow and level values.
