The AquaVent 5 records accurate water level and temperature measurements in shallow groundwater and surface water applications, by combining pressure and temperature filters, hydrophobic filters and a datalogger all within a 22mm x 173mm stainless steel housing, that has corrosion-resistant coating.
The AquaVent 5 works by using a gauged pressure transducer that is open to the atmosphere via a vented cable to surface. Atmospheric pressure is applied to the transducer diaphragm, providing a cancellation effect for barometric pressure. This results in actual water level recordings. The vented cable and Solinst AquaVent 5 logger are protected from moisture by built-in desiccants and hydrophobic filters.
The AquaVent 5 is extremely durable and accurate in a wide range of temperature and monitoring conditions due to the vented pressure transducer being made of Hastelloy®.
The new increased memory has a capacity for 150,000 data sets, the sensor provides an accuracy of 0.05% FS and can withstand 2 times over-pressure without permanent damage making it the most accurate and durable Solinst AquaVent to date.

As the Levelogger App Interface will not connect directly to the top of a Solinst datalogger, it is necessary to have connection accessories. With the Levelogger or Rainlogger, one of the following accessories is required:
Leveloggers. Provides detailed information on the datalogger,
and includes options for running a self-test, doing a memory
dump and creating/emailing reports.
